"At dusk, in the light of the sunset, in the free emptiness of the breeze that comes from where it wants and goes where no one knows, God and man are together, communicating without words, syllables or formulas". (Thomas Merton)

Brothers and sisters
We want to invite you to the annual desert of the Lay Fraternity Charles de Foucauld of Brazil.
Aware that the desert is not a place of escape from the struggles of life, but a moment to redefine our options and decisions, we want to repeat with Brother Carlos: “It is necessary to go through the desert!”.
Place:
The desert will be held once again at Sítio dos Anjos and Sitio Nazaré in Ribeirão Pires.
It would be nice if you could arrive the day before and thus prepare yourself in silence and listening.
Date: August 26, 2018 starting at 9 am and ending around 2 pm.
What to bring:
· Bed and bath linen (if it comes the day before).
· Pen and paper and, if desired, the Bible.
About food: As in previous years, a small team from the Fraternity of Ribeirão Pires and Suzano, together with those who come on Saturday, are in charge of preparing snacks. Snack spending will be socialized with those who can.
Confirming your presence helps us organize!
Telephone for contact: (11) 4823-2312; 972177493 Miguel; (11) 4822-1362 Sítio Nazaré (Gilberto)
We remember that the desert is also open to people who are not part of the Fraternity.
May the desert be a time of deep encounter with the Lord and sharing with sisters and brothers.
A big brotherly hug!
